Cover levels - 7 Day Drive Away Insurance
- Cover is for 7 Days comprehensive motor insurance, underwritten by Royal & Sun Alliance Insurance plc.
- Use is social, domestic and pleasure, and can include business use by the policyholder and spouse/partner (if named on the policy). For other named drivers cover is for social, domestic and pleasure only.
- Cover is for the policyholder and up to two additional drivers, all of whom must be aged 18 to 79 and must meet the eligibility criteria for the programme.
- Note: Once a 7-day policy has started, no additional drivers can be added.
Exclusions
- Cover is specifically excluded for hire & reward, racing, rallying or trials, or for use in connection with the motor trade.
- The 7 Day Drive Away Insurance will not apply to multi-vehicle policies, driving schools, personal export and dealer demonstration models.
- Excluded activities should be referred to underwriters for consideration.

As well as these compulsory excesses, the policy may be subject to a compulsory vehicle excess, and /or additional young drivers' excesses. All additional excesses are for accidental damage only, and are in addition to the compulsory policy excesses. Age of Driver Additional young drivers accidental damage excess.

Driver eligibility
- All drivers must have held a full UK or EU driving licence for a minimum of one year, and provisional licences are excluded from cover.
- Drivers must not have more than two minor motoring convictions each in the past five years (CU, MW, PC, PL, SP or TS codes only).
- There should be no more than three minor convictions across all drivers on the policy
- Drivers must not have been banned or under suspension from driving in the past five years.
- Drivers must not have made more than one fault or theft claim in the past three years. Any claim which is outstanding, or which has not resulted in a full recovery from a third party, is classed as fault.
- The policyholder must be the registered owner, keeper or lessee of the vehicle, and thus the person who stands to lose financially if the vehicle is damaged or lost.
Vehicle modifications
- Manufacturer supplied cosmetic modifications, which are less than 10% of the vehicle value (including fitting and VAT) are permitted on the policy
- No performance enhancing modifications are allowed.
